Wedding

Good afternoon everyone. This is Jason. I’m an American living in Japan and working for Lightcafe.

For those that don’t know; after 3 1/2 years of being married I will finally be having a proper wedding ceremony this month in Hawaii. When we were actually married in 2008 we didn’t have a wedding because I was still living and working in The U.S. We were going to need to use her time off for moving and getting everything in order here, and I needed to save my money for actually moving and living off of until I could find work. Little did I know I would be living off my savings for 3 years until I could speak Japanese well enough to get a proper job.

So here we are 3 1/2 years later finally doing it. We are keeping it small to family and close friends. Nothing too over the top, and nothing cliché that you will look back when showing your children or grandchildren and wonder what you were thinking. It will be just nice and something when you are old and dying or if the other departs this life before you, you can reflect back on your lives together with happy memories of that day. Remembering how things smelled, how the food tasted, and how elegant she looked on that happy day. All the bitter times like unripe fruit will sweeten with time and all you will remember is the golden sunlight of happy times. Hopefully my day of reflection doesn’t come too quick. I would like to make as many happy memories together as possible to be able to reflect back and look on like a beautiful painting that was only made for our eyes.
